Patch 5.3 Has Been Unfortunately Delayed

Hello everyone, how has everyone been in these strange times were currently experiencing. I hope everyone is safe and healthy. As you may or may not have heard due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19, patch 5.3 that was scheduled to be released around the month of June has been unfortunately delayed. Director Naoki Yoshisa, has made a public announcement regarding the delay on Final Fantasy 14's offical site, which I will leave a link to for you to check out for yourself. What Director Yoshida has stated in his announcement is that the next major patch, 5.3, will end being delayed to 2 weeks to even a month due to their current work environment due to the COVID-19 outbreak. On the upside the next Producer Live Letter has been revealed to be occurring next week on Friday April 24th, so we will get the chance to see what is in store for us for patch 5.3 even if it is delayed.
It is unfortunate that patch 5.3 is delayed, but for the safety and heath of the development team I think it was a smart decision for them to make. I hope you stay healthy and safe out there during these strange times, and that you have a great day.
